Gold medal and PB at Queensland Championships

Competing at the Queensland Championships which were held at Iceworld Boondall from 21 to 24 September 2011, Taylor skated strongly to take out the gold medal in the Junior Ladies division, achieving a new personal best score of 102.39. (Read more)

International Junior Grand Prix selection for Taylor

Hot off the back of winning a bronze medal for Australia at the NZ Winter Games in Dunedin, New Zealand, Taylor headed off for the world stage again, representing Australia at the International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix in Riga, Latvia, in August/September 2011. (Read more)

NZ Winter Games medal – again!

Having won the bronze medal in the inaugural Games in 2009, Taylor repeated that success, securing bronze again, this time in the Junior Ladies division. (Read more)

Disney on Ice

Iceworld Figure Skating Club was lucky enough to score support act for the Disney on Ice matinee show at the Boondall Entertainment Centre on 1 July. The performance was entitled “A Disney Dream”, and featured Taylor as Tinkerbell. (Read more)

Taylor features at Winter Festival

Taylor was invited to perform at Brisbane’s inaugural Winter Festival, and delighted the crowds with figure skating displays throughout the festival period from 9 to 26 June. (Read more)

Meet Taylor Dean, Australia’s 2014 Winter Olympics figure skating representative hopeful...

Taylor is the current Australian Junior Ladies Silver Medallist, is an international representative, and was awarded the 2008 Morgan Innes Skating Scholarship (for skating potential). Taylor was selected in 2008 to tour Australia with Dutch "Waltz King", Andre Rieu, in his "A Romantic Night in Vienna" World Stadium concerts. She is the youngest female skater to be chosen!

She’ll be 18 in 2014, the perfect age for competitive ice skating, and from now till then she knows how much hard work is needed to become internationally competitive. She’s comitting 15 hours training a week to achieve the goal to represent her country.
