Another Nationals Medal!
Taylor claimed silver at the Australian Figure Skating Championships which were held at Iceworld Boondall from 2 to 10 December 2011. Scoring the highest technical marks in the free skate segment, Taylor was awarded level 3s and 4s for her spins, with her flying sit spin also earning + GOE.
Gold medal and PB at Queensland Championships
Competing at the Queensland Championships which were held at Iceworld Boondall from 21 to 24 September 2011, Taylor skated strongly to take out the gold medal in the Junior Ladies division, achieving a new personal best score of 102.39. This was an improvement on her previous PB of 101.14. This achievement also earned her a performance based bonus awarded by governing body, Ice Skating Queensland.
International Junior Grand Prix selection for Taylor
Hot off the back of winning a bronze medal for Australia at the NZ
Winter Games in Dunedin, New Zealand, Taylor headed off for the world
stage again, representing Australia at the International Skating Union
(ISU) Junior Grand Prix in Riga, Latvia, in August/September 2011. The
ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating is a series of international
invitational junior level competitions organised by the International
Skating Union. Australia is offered very limited places at these
competitions, (just 6 spots for ladies in 2011), so selection is highly
sought after. In a very strong field of 33 nations, featuring the likes
of Junior champions Polina Shelepen (Russia), Zijun Li (China) and
Miyabi Oba (Japan), amongst others, Taylor earned an international PB
in the short program, placing 23rd. After placing 24th in the free
skate, she ultimately ended up 25th overall.

NZ Winter Games medal – again!
The NZ Winter Games were once again held in Dunedin, New Zealand. The biennial event, held over four days from 10 to 13 August 2011, saw skaters from five nations (including skating powerhouse, Korea), take part. Having won the bronze medal in the inaugural Games in 2009, Taylor repeated that success, securing bronze again, this time in the Junior Ladies division.
Disney on Ice
Disney on Ice comes to Brisbane, and for the first time, invites local figure skaters to take part in the performance!
As a result, Iceworld Figure Skating Club was lucky enough to score
support act for the Disney on Ice matinee show at the Boondall
Entertainment Centre on 1 July. The performance was entitled "A Disney
Dream", and featured Taylor as Tinkerbell.

Taylor features at Winter Festival
Brisbanians enjoyed the delights of an authentic European winter right in the heart of the city as the Winter Festival came to Brisbane for the first time. A 900m2 outdoor ice rink was erected in the heart of the CBD at King George Square.
Taylor was invited to perform, and delighted the crowds with figure
skating displays throughout the festival period from 9 to 26 June.
Organisers cited the festival an unparalleled success.

Indooroopilly Shopping Centre has a "cool" change!
Indooroopilly Shopping Centre treated patrons to a "cool" change with the installation of an ice rink on level 1 during the June school holidays.
As part of this exciting event, Taylor was invited to perform,
conducting figure skating displays throughout the 2-week period.

Hollins Trophy success
The Queen's Birthday long weekend in June 2011 saw Taylor compete in Hollins Trophy in Sydney, the international qualifier for the 2011/12 season. Skating two good clean programs, Taylor took out second place.
Queensland gold medal and PB to Taylor
Taylor stormed the Queensland Figure Skating Championships with a comprehensive gold medal win in the Junior Ladies division. The event was held at Iceworld Boondall from 14 to 17 October 2010.
Smashing her personal best point score with a blistering 101.14, Taylor took out the gold medal with two clean programmes. Her combined gold medal and high point score clinched a performance based bonus awarded by governing body, Ice Skating Queensland.
This result bids her well in the lead-up to the Australian Figure Skating Championships which take place at the Icehouse in Melbourne from 25 November to 2 December.
Taylor nominated to represent Australia in the Netherlands
Ice Skating Australia has officially nominated Taylor to represent Australia at the International Challenge Cup in The Hague, Netherlands from 9 to 11 March 2011.
The nomination came about as a result of Taylor’s bronze medal success at international qualifier, Winter Sun, held in July.
This is an important milestone on the long and demanding road to
the Olympics.
Winter Sun Bronze Medal earns Taylor International Selection
Competing at Ice Skating Australia’s international qualifier, Winter
Sun, Taylor skated two strong, clean programs to take out the bronze
medal. This result has earned her the right to represent Australia at
an ISU (International Skating Union) sanctioned event in 2011. Winter
Sun was held at Iceworld Acacia Ridge, Brisbane, on 10 and 11
July 2010.
Medal at Taylor’s first international competition, the NZ Winter Games
Taylor represented Australia in her first international competition, the NZ Winter Games, in Dunedin, New Zealand, on 28 and 29 August 2009. She did her nation proud by skating two solid programs to take out the bronze medal in the Novice Ladies division.
The competition included the skating powerhouses of Japan and Korea.
Bronze medal for Taylor at the New Zealand Nationals
Skating in her first major competition at Junior level, Taylor captured
the bronze medal for Australia at the New Zealand National Ice Skating
Championships. The competition was held at the Paradice rink, Botany
Downs, in Auckland from 11 to 16 October 2009.
Taylor is 2009 National Silver Medallist!
Skating just three weeks after an emergency appendectomy, (involving
being laid up in hospital for a week), Taylor fought hard and won the
silver medal in the Novice Ladies division of the Australian Figure
Skating Championships. The event was held from 15 to 22 August at the
Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink in Sydney.

Taylor earns place representing Australia at NZ Winter Games
Taylor's recent win in the Novice Ladies division of Hollins Trophy has secured her a much sought after place at the NZ Winter Games which will be held in Dunedin, New Zealand, from the 27th to 30th August 2009. The biggest winter sports event outside the Winter Olympics, the NZ Winter Games features over 800 of the world's top athletes competing in 26 winter sports disciplines. Roll on August ...
Andre Rieu concert tour
Taylor has just finished touring with Dutch classical violinist and
"Waltz King", Andre Rieu, performing in all his concerts Australia-wide.
She cites the experience as “magical”, with a highlight being the 15
November concert at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne which attracted an
audience of 38,500 people.

Taylor wins gold at Summer Trophy
Taylor skated to victory at Summer Trophy, winning the Novice Ladies division
with a season’s personal best score of 95.93. Her new short programme, set
to John Williams' evocative music from the movie Memoirs of a Geisha
earned her the Dave Buchanan Memorial Trophy for most outstanding skate of the
competition.
2008 Morgan Innes Scholarship
Following the 2008 Australian Figure Skating Championships which were held at Boondall, Queensland, in August, Taylor was announced joint winner of the 2008 Morgan Innes Scholarship (Queensland). Co-recipient was Andrew Dodds. The scholarship was initiated by Robert and Kim Innes following the tragic loss of their daughter, promising figure skater Morgan Innes, in a boating accident on Sydney Harbour in 2007.
